Three people have died and at least one is missing as intense flooding in Auckland continues to wreak havoc in New Zealand’s biggest city.
A state of emergency remains in place across the region after the wettest day in the city’s history forced both Auckland Airport and the local motorways to close.
Hundreds of people were left stranded in Auckland Airport after some parts of the terminal became completely submerged by the water.was forced to cancel just 15 minutes before starting. Police said they found a man’s body in a flooded culvert and another was found dead in a submerged car park.
