Croteam has announced Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, a stand-alone expansion to Serious Sam 4 in collaboration with community modders Timelock Studio.
With an explosive teaser, Croteam and Timelock Studio have revealed Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, a stand-alone expansion to Serious Sam 4 coming out in only a few short weeks on PC. Serious Sam 4 was released in 2020 after 7 long years of development and its developers working for it to be the most expansive and advanced installment to date.
Known as the underdog in its genre for almost 20 years, the Serious Sam series built a cult following by promising fast-paced, large-scale battles with an arsenal of weapons and a dissident yet hilarious protagonist that spewed one-liners.
As big as the series is, Croteam is largely known as a community-driven developer similar to studios like CD Projekt Red. Much like Siberian Mayhem, Croteam allowed Aligator Pit, an indie development team to create a unified version of the first two games in 2019 with an additional campaign called Serious Sam Classics: Revolution.
Serious Sam is officially back and it appears that Siberian Mayhem is only one of many expansions the developers have planned for the high-adrenaline arcade-action shooter. With the help of modders, the title is expected to fully gratify FPS fans, so those feverish can pre-order or wishlist the title on Steam today. Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem is set on January 25th, 2022 for PC. .
