What. A. Match. But don't think this is the last we'll see of Serena Williams. Not by a long shot. USOpen

Serena Williams may have been knocked out of the 2022 U.S. Open tennis tournament on Friday night — but she’s nowhere near knocked out.

A teary Williams thanked her parents and sister, Venus, her husband and daughter, and her fans as the Arthur Ashe crowd gave the G.O.A.T. a standing ovation after the match. And as she told the press following her upset victory against No. 2 seed Anett Kontaveit of Estonia earlier in the week: “I don’t have anything to prove. I don’t have anything to win. And I have absolutely nothing to lose.”

She said she wants to build a burgeoning business empire and may end up becoming the first female billionaire in sports history. Other athletes, including NBA stars LeBron James and Kevin Durant, have made notably smart investing moves in recent years. James was an early investor in headphones company “Beats by Dre” and Durant was an early investor in Coinbase COIN, -0.41% and Postmates.
