In a new development in the sphere of artificial intelligence, China-based firm SenseTime unveiled the SenseNova 5.0. This new generative AI model represents a significant advancement in the realm of AI. The model functions as a hybrid, integrating both transformer and recurrent neural network architectures. Additionally, it has been trained on a diverse dataset of over 10 billion tokens from multiple languages and sources.
The model employed a ‘Mixture of Experts’ to cover a context window of roughly 200,000 during inference, enhancing its effectiveness. Its key advancements are in knowledge, mathematics, reasoning, and coding capabilities. Dr. Xu stressed that the company built the infrastructure for the AGI era with SenseCore and named the foundation model as ‘SenseNova’, implying ‘constant renewal, daily renewal, and further renewal’. “We hope to continuously update the models’ iteration speed and their problem-solving capabilities, unlocking more possibilities for AGI.”
