"One of the issues that we have got to talk about is stress in this country," Sanders said during a meeting of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. "The fact that so many people are going to work exhausted, physically and mentally, and the fact that we have not changed the Fair Labor Standards Act. This was in 1940 -- we came up with a 40-hour work week -- 1940. "Who is going to deny that the economy has not fundamentally and radically changed over that period of time?" Sanders said.
