WASHINGTON—Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday the full Senate won’t reconvene until early May, extending the current recess by two weeks amid coronavirus fears.
Congress and the White House are currently in talks to pass more emergency aid, and Mr. McConnell said lawmakers will receive 24 hours notice if they need to return sooner than May 4 to vote on legislation.
