Silicon Valley's annual comic convention was restored to its former glory this weekend.
"It was great to be back," said Kai Choate, a convention worker who helped guide the new Savage MakerVerse, a guided workspace where attendees could build costumes and gadgets such as the Arc Reactor from the"Iron Man" movies. Choate said the coolest thing he saw someone build was a foam weapon from the"Infinity Blade" iOS game popular in the early 2010s.
The convention also featured lots of very creative cosplay. Among the standouts were Mother Talzin from the"Star Wars" franchise, as well as Master Chief from the"Halo" video games.
