Charlotte Sena disappeared Saturday evening riding a bike while camping with her family in a state park.
New York State Police and other responders search near Moreau Lake State Park for 9-year-old Charlotte Sena, missing since early Saturday night. Anyone with information should call the New York State Police at 457-6811 or dial 911. State police issued an Amber Alert Sunday for Charlotte E. Sena, who was last seen at Moreau Lake State Park camping site in Gansevoort around 6:15 p.m. Saturday. Law enforcement search efforts began around 7 p.m. Saturday and are continuing today.
The girl was riding her bicycle with her cousins around a loop at the park, and she decided to ride the loop an additional time by herself, Gov. Kathy Hochul told reporters at a news briefing at the park Sunday afternoon. State police and additional law enforcement and search and rescue teams conducted an “exhaustive search” of the park over the next 14 and a half hours, which lead to the Amber Alert being issued at 9:35 a.m. Sunday, said Lt. Col. Richard L. Mazzone, state police assistant deputy superintendent.
