He was transferred to the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre on Feb. 7 and the alleged assault took place on Feb. 10. “I don’t know if that person is still working or not. I have no idea. They didn’t tell me that,” said Rice. As she waits for more information, Rice told SaltWire Network that she felt it was important for people to know about what happened to her uncle and that things are happening not just in long-term care at the health centre but also in acute care.
Like many of the other cases, this one is especially troubling because Rice’s uncle cannot speak for himself.
