Anthony Bradford is back, but Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s minicamp ended earlier than others.
The Seattle Seahawks called it a mandatory minicamp with a day to spare, but they didn’t come away unscathed. The good news is that second-year right guard Anthony Bradford, who tweaked his ankle during OTAs, did participate in Wednesday’s practice. McClendon Curtis had been receiving first-team reps at the position, but with Bradford back, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald says Bradford will be in competition for the starting job. Via Seahawks.
Free agent acquisition Laviska Shenault Jr was also dealing with a foot injury and his practice was curt short. It’s better safe than sorry, so based on Mike Macdonald’s comments it sounds like neither injury is concerning. Meanwhile, second-year defensive tackle Cameron Young had what Macdonald termed “a lower body injury” that kept him out of both minicamp practices. The fourth-round selection will be competing for a roster spot as part of the Seahawks’ interior defensive line rotation.
