Snow is set to hit Scotland next week, the Met Office has confirmed
Despite spring being on the horizon, snow showers are predicted to fall over the country from Monday, March 6 caused by an artic maritime air mass. Forecasters have also said that further ice warnings will likely be issued due to freezing temperatures.
"Very cold air will spread across the UK bringing snow showers even to sea level in the north on Monday and these snow showers could spread further south on Tuesday. For this evening, western Scotland will see some light winds and relatively clear skies. It will be cloudy elsewhere with some showers in the north and west with average temperatures.
