A man accused of looking after kids in a filthy home and using a fake gun to threaten police has died before facing trial.
Prosecutors claimed he had the bogus weapon "with intent to cause" Police Scotland Constables Helder Marcos and Kirsty Murray "to believe that unlawful violence would be used against them". He also denied he had forced the older child to care for two autistic children and do household chores, including cooking and cleaning.
