Preston school wins top award after wowing judges with innovative approach to closing literacy gap
A Preston primary school has been crowned a winner at the Educate Awards - after wowing judges with its effective and innovative approach.
The school also transformed a once-derelict piece of land nearby into ‘Eldon Burrow’, an outdoor learning space. .Kim O’Brien, founder of the Educate Awards, said: “Congratulations to Eldon Primary School for winning the Innovative & Creative Literacy Award at this year’s Educate Awards. Kim added: “The Educate Awards team is proud to champion the innovation, diversity and dedication that is taking place in educational establishments around the region. Entries will open again in February 2023 and we encourage all types of schools and colleges to submit as many entries as they like, for free.”
