Howell said the government is in full agreement that they want to address violence in classrooms, as well as allocations and class sizes.
He said the government missed an opportunity to address these issues with the recently delivered budget. Still, he said he never believed “for one minute” that the government had any intention of addressing the issues.“To me, what Trent spoke about, it doesn't surprise me. I saw it when I was president of the NLTA, I know the presidents before me and after have brought these issues up, and it's just incredible that government fails to address it,” he said.
