“It’s hot outside and temperatures are climbing. But these guys are steadfast and working hard. They’re professionals, these men and women. And they have one thing on their mind. Learning how to keep our children safe and protecting schools,” Sgt. Jeff Spaller said. It’s an uncomfortable topic, but in order to be ready to handle potentially dangerous situations, this training is necessary.
“We don’t want to have a Uvalde situation here. We’re going to train. We’re going to train the right ways. We’re going to bring the best people in to teach us these strategies so that we’re up to date. So, when we rise to the occasion whenever a bad situation does occur,” Spaller said.
