A North Kitsap School District bus collided with a tree service utility truck on Monday, according to a Facebook post from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 3:16 p.m., Kitsap County deputies and Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue responded to the crash in the 3500 block of Northwest Half Mile Road near Poulsbo.The driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Three students on the bus were able to escape out the emergency exits and were evaluated by paramedics before being released to their parents/guardians.
A worker from the tree service utility truck was thrown during the incident and was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Northwest Half Mile Road between Clear Creek Road Northwest and Southern Boundary Road is closed until further notice.
