WIRED The cutest thing I ever saw. Lightweight. Easy to use. Works with Snapchat, but also sends shots to your camera roll. TIRED Battery life is atrocious. Obstacle avoidance features sometimes fail comically. Camera could be better.
If the Pixy’s footage is any indication, my husband’s memories of me will consist solely of my arms impatiently folded and my Resting Bitch Face squinting meanly into the sun. Nevertheless, Dead Wife video montages are the perfect use case for the Pixy, as are landscape shots and group selfies. The camera has no night vision features, and it also didn't always perform well in anything but really good daylight.
Ah yes, the battery life. It's the Pixy's biggest drawback. I strongly suggest ponying up the extra $20 for the Flying Pack Plus, which comes with an extra double battery pack, in addition to a bumper and a carrying strap . You'll need the second battery, since a full battery only provides enough juice for about five flights, and each flight lasts about 10 or 20 seconds. After each flight is over, it will usually just sink to the ground.
