They do play by the majority of baseball’s rules, except they liven things up by setting a two-hour time limit and banning all the boring parts of baseball, including: Bunts, walks, mound visits and stepping out of the batter’s box. The Bananas had been playing most of their games in Savannah, Ga., with some other stops around the southeast, but they're expanding their tour next year with stops in 33 cities, including their first visit to Texas. The Sugar Land stop is the only Texas game on the tour.
“Taking the Bananas to Texas has been something we’ve heard constantly from our fans over the years,” Savannah Bananas owner Jesse Cole said in a statement released by the team. “We are fired up to bring an unforgettable show to Sugar Land this spring.”
