But, she added, “There’s certainly a lot of things that Carrie wears that I couldn’t wear.”
Candace Bushnell called this tutu throwback her “favorite” fashion moment so far on “And Just Like That.”Continued Bushnell, who was not creatively involved in the reboot, “Carrie’s back in her old apartment with all her old clothes … which is something that I really understand. At a certain age, you go vintage shopping in your own closet.”
And as the curly-haired columnist-turned-podcaster would surely agree, there’s no reason to tone down how you dress over the decades.“I don’t think that there is such a thing as ‘dressing for one’s age,'” Bushnell said. “One has an inherent style, and it really comes down to what you feel comfortable in. I think if you can wear it, flaunt it.
“And the great thing is, as you get older, you feel more comfortable with your style. When you’re younger, you try a lot of different styles — some of them work, some don’t. When you get to be older, you know what works.”“My fashion and beauty philosophy is: Just remember, we’re all only getting older,” she quipped. “Enjoy where you are now and try not to be too critical.”
