San Antonio police were responding to reports of a disturbance at a North Side apartment when the man jumped from a second story window.

Chief William McManus said an officer was approaching the apartment as the man landed near her. The man then pulled out a gun and pointed it at her. She shot the man once in the leg, the chief said.
