A 27-year-old man is being held without bail on charges that he raped two women in Alameda County in separate incidents last September and in November 2021.
OAKLAND — A Bay Area man has been charged with raping and assaulting two women in incidents that took place more than a year apart, court records show.
Abrion McElmore, 27, was charged with eight felonies including assault with intent to commit rape, multiple counts of rape and forcible oral copulation, and residential burglary, court records show. He has pleaded not guilty and is due in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing, where a judge will review evidence and determine if there is enough to order him to stand trial.
McElmore was arrested in September after a woman approached a school resource officer at San Lorenzo High School and claimed McElmore sexually assaulted her, court records show. She said that after she turned down his proposition for sex, he led her to a secluded area near some train tracks, choked her and sexually assaulted her.
Police located McElmore on Dermody Avenue in San Lorenzo later that day, based on the woman’s description. He was arrested, court records show.
