Kairee Robinson scores a career-high four touchdowns to help San Jose State snap a three-game losing streak.

San Jose State wide receiver Nick Nash caught a 54-yard touchdown pass Saturday afternoon in the Spartans’ 52-24 victory over New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M. Kairee Robinson scored a career-high four touchdowns and totaled 189 yards from scrimmage to lead San Jose State to a 52-24 win over New Mexico on Saturday afternoon.

“I was just so proud of our team and how they responded after halftime,” said coach Brent Brennan. “I think that’s who we can be. We’ve done it in spurts, but not enough collectively. I think that was a really awesome way for us to close out a game.” After totaling 156 yards of offense in the first half, the Spartans erupted for a whopping 206 yards of offense in the third quarter alone.

The Spartans’ defense held New Mexico to 130 yards and seven points in the second half. SJSU came into Saturday’s game with the second-worst rushing defense in the country, but held the Lobos to 129 yards total on the ground.
