Andre McDonald told his in-laws that he stomped his wife to death after the pair argued following a meeting with a tax preparer, when he realized she was cutting him out of an ownership stake in her company.
In his opening statement, defense attorney John A. Convery acknowledged McDonald killed his wife but said he didn’t intend for it to happen.
