But as Hollis and Castellanos found their form last week, so too did the Missions, winning four of five in a road series against the Corpus Christi Hooks to move to 7-7 for the year. As a team, the Missions enjoyed a major offensive uptick last week, averaging 5.2 runs per game while batting .256 to rank second in the Texas League.Korry Howell, the No. 13 prospect in the Padres’ organization, per MLB.com, was the only player in the Texas League to notch four stolen bases last week.
Slowed by injury to start the year, Jacob made his 2023 debut on the mound Friday, tossing a scoreless inning allowing one hit and one walk with two strikeouts.
