He will compete in the super heavyweight class at the Texas State Golden Gloves Tournament in Fort Worth on March 16 through March 19.San Antonio scored its first victory at the Texas State Golden Gloves Tournament on Thursday when heavyweight Aden Jacks stopped Manuel Sifuentes of Corpus Christi in the second round.

Two other San Antonio boxers lost. Josue Hernandez lost to Fernando Solis of Fort Worth by unanimous decision at 125 pounds, while Logan Luna lost to Gilberto Valdez of Lubbock by unanimous decision at 112.
