FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried said in planned congressional testimony that the law firm representing the cryptocurrency exchange pressured him to seek chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for the company
In a transcript of the undelivered testimony, Mr.
Bankman-Fried described a pressure campaign by FTX general counsel Ryne Miller and Sullivan & Cromwell lawyers to try to convince him to file for bankruptcy as the exchange was collapsing, including calling friends, family members and co-workers to get them to try to persuade him to file.
