Sarah Penney is the project co-ordinator for the Atlantic Salmon restoration project and resource management officer with Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Since 2019, her team has worked with Dalhousie University's Aquatron Laboratory to rear juvenile salmon in captivity and then release them back into Clyburn Brook so they have a chance to go out to sea and return to spawn. So far, they have returned 98 salmon to the river with about 80 more expected to be released this October.
