Doug Edert, one of the stars of Saint Peter’s historic run to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, is cashing in his newfound fame.
It is the second known NIL deal Edert signed since playing a part in the Peacocks’ magical March Madness run; he announced a deal with Buffalo Wild Wings last week.Edert, a junior guard out of Nutley, averaged 11.3 points on 41.
7% shooting in four NCAA Tournament games against Kentucky, Murray State, Purdue and North Carolina. He scored 20 points off the bench in Saint Peter’s seismic first-round upset of the 2-seed Wildcats, hit key free throws late in its historic upset of the 3-seed Boilermakers in the Sweet Sixteen and scored 13 points in a wire-to-wire win over the Racers in the second round.
