Such a blow for the high street 😢
A gift shop in West Bridgford has closed after 29 years in business, citing changes in consumer shopping habits and spiralling operational costs. It's been a difficult time for retail following two years of Covid restrictions, supply issues and now a cost of living crisis which has resulted in a slow in consumer spending and higher bills including energy costs.
'‘We are sorry we won’t be able to say goodbye to you all personally. Changes to shopping habits and increasing costs to operate have resulted in this decision.'
