Ohio State football coach Ryan Day provided an update on the quarterback plan for Saturday's season opener at Indiana.
McCord also appeared to end the spring with an edge in the competition. He had more success in the competitive scrimmage periods open to the media. Brown broke the pinkie finger in his right hand a week before the spring game. McCord took all the reps with the No. 1 offense in that scrimmage.
Brown brings big upside as both a passer and runner as he continues his development. The No. 43 overall prospect in the 2022 class per the 247 Sports composite was originally committed to USC. He was a later addition to OSU’s class after Quinn Ewers transferred to Texas.
