Speaking in English with Russian subtitles, Schwarzenegger expresses admiration for Russian weightlifter Yuri Petrovich Vlasov and talks about his role in “Red Heat,” which was partly shot in Red Square during the Cold War. “I’ve had nothing but affection and respect for the people of Russia,” he said.In a video released on March 17, Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke directly to the Russian people about the war in Ukraine.
“Those in power in the Kremlin started this war. This is not the Russian people’s war,” Schwarzenegger said, noting that 141 U.N. member countries have condemned Moscow’s invasion and that far more Russian troops have died than the 498 claimed by Moscow.
