Russia expects over $14 billion in additional energy revenues this year as Western nations introduced sanctions against Moscow over Ukraine offensive but did not include its oil and gas supplies
West has introduced a barrage of unprecedented sanctions against Moscow to punish the Kremlin for sending troops into Ukraine on February 24 but has not touched Russian oil and gas supplies.
"We expect to receive up to a trillion rubles in additional oil and gas revenues, according to the forecast that we have developed with the ministry of economic development," Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Friday in remarks broadcast on state television.
