Meet Runner's World+ member Lars Rasmussen. “My run goal is to be able each year to run my age in kilometers (i.e., a 52K run this year!).” Nearing day 500 of his run streak, Rasmussen is also the cofounder of Weav, an app that syncs music to running.

Well, hm, I’m fitter than I’ve been since my twenties. I’m a streak runner and on my 410th day of running at least a mile each day—a tremendous exercise in self-care and gentle, persistent discipline. I have become interested in human metabolism and pay much more attention to my diet even outside of running . I can play outside with my 4-year-old daughter and she gets tired before me :)To know all the stuff! I have yet to find a better place for running information/inspiration.

Shin splints hurt like hell :I mostly run near my home in the Brooklyn Bridge Park along the piers with a stunning view across the East River to lower Manhattan. Magic! My favorite route ever, though, was on the Greek Island of Patmos a few days before marrying my life-long love last year. From the port up the hill to the main ‘Chora’ village, then back down the other side, then up another steep, steep hill to the small church ‘Profitis Ilias’ on the tallest spot on the island.

If we simply put a price on the viability of the human species as a whole, it’s clear that pivoting to renewable energy is a no-brainer.
