New footage released shows one of Ruby Franke’s sons arriving at a neighbor’s house after escaping from his home.
Released by the Washington County Attorney’s Office, the security footage shows her 12-year-old son asking an adult male for a “favor” — to take him to the police department.Ruby Franke’s sister Bonnie posts scathing message after sentencing: ‘Satan himself’ couldn’t make me harm my kidsThe neighbor can be seen calling the police and telling them that the unnamed child is “emaciated” and has “tape around his legs.” He then adds that there’s duct tape around his wrists and ankles.
Police on the scene described the unidentified child’s wounds, neglect and malnourishment to be so “severe” that they transported the victim to the nearby Saint George Regional Hospital.Franke, 42, and her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, were arrested under suspicion of aggravated child abuse. Four of Franke’s children remain in the care of the Department of Child and Family Services.
