The minehunter was spotted making her way back to Faslane this morning
The ship is a Sandown-class minehunter, specially designed to neutralise underwater threats and clear the shipping lanes. Her motto is “diligent thought.”
She was recently on a visit to the Isle of Man in January and and enabled junior crew members to experience their first run ashore. Like all Sandown-class vessels, she is most effective in deeper waters, so she can often be found surveying shipping routes or clearing the way for military operations.
