Both directions of Route 35 in Old Bridge remained closed Saturday morning, more than 12 hours after a Friday evening crash in which a vehicle struck a power pole, police said. The road was still closed because Jersey City Power & Light crews were still making repairs, according to Old Bridge police. The crash occurred Friday evening just south of Cheesequake Creek. Police said the northbound lanes were expected to open early Saturday morning.
No additional information about the crash was available Saturday, though police did say it was not a fatal accident.
