Lions, Ottawa Redblacks and Riders. He had a combined 234 defensive tackles and 39 sacks. He was named a 2018 East Division all-star with the Redblacks in 2018.
He had two stints with the Riders in 2016-17 and 2019-2022. His best season was in 2021 with the Riders when he led the CFL with 11 sacks in a truncated 14-game regular season. Leonard was suspended that season for two games for failing to supply a sample for drug testing. The suspension was extended by another game for verbal abuse and unacceptable behaviour towards a doping control officer.
In 2022, Leonard dressed for 13 regular-season games with 33 defensive tackles. He had three sacks in the Riders’ first five games before suffering a foot injury. He returned in Week 11, but didn’t record a sack in the eight remaining games.
