Three New York men were hit by lighting under sunny skies after taking shelter during a quick-moving storm.
Madison County, NY — A 39-year-old man has died after a lightning strike Monday while on a roofing job near the village of Canastota, New York.took shelter under a tree with two other co-workersThe sun was shining again when the lightning struck on Forbes Road in the town of Lincoln, Mike Flynn, owner of The Roofing Guys, told Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard on Tuesday.
“The skies were sunny. You could see the storm off in the distance,” Flynn said he learned later from those at the job site. “It’s just a crazy, crazy thing.” The other two co-workers were not seriously injured and have been released from Oneida Hospital, deputies said.
