The Columbus City Schools Board of Education meets Tuesday for the first time after not taking a"We are going to be coming back for more money. "Operating buildings that are not at capacity are not a smart investment.
The Superintendent's Facilities Task Force listed Siebert Elementary on its preliminary closure list this year. On the day of the task force's preliminary presentation to the school board, school board members approved a $2,000,000 HVAC project for Siebert Elementary. Problem Solvers pulled this year's work orders for the other schools up for final recommendation. Columbus Alternative High School racked up 104 work orders that include roof leaks, electrical problems and animal removal. 72 orders came from Buckeye Middle School that listed mold and more health and safety issues. 89 orders have generated from Columbus Preparatory for Boys from January to July. 118 work orders came from Broadleigh Elementary and 52 from North Linden Elementary.
