Thousands were without power due to an issue at a Rocky Mountain substation in Utah County Thursday night, and into Friday, over 800 outage reports came in from

"Going back to two weeks ago, having 20,000 people out on a Friday evening is not normal," said Jona Whitesides, a Rocky Mountain Power spokesman."We had 2,000 people out in Ogden from a car hitting a pole. There were downed lines in Moroni, equipment issues in Tooele, and even a wildfire."
