• Say this much for the provincial government: It can put up six points a lot faster than the• The Government of Saskatchewan’s decision to apply a six-percentage-point tax to admission for sporting events and concerts, along with adding the PST to the cost of gym memberships, is ill-conceived and terribly timed. Having endured a protracted pandemic period and the accompanying restrictions, our optimism should be buoyed by the promise of something that resembles normalcy.
• Most galling of all is the addition of the PST to gym memberships. If the health and welfare of Saskatchewanians is truly a priority, why will it soon cost more to get in shape or maintain a level of fitness? Article content
