This past season, the Thunder Bay\u002Dbased team attended just three major events ahead of playdowns. They now have a bye going into playoffs.
And then go ahead and win the coveted championship as the representative of Northern Ontario.
“But that’s just not realistic for us. It’s not something that we can do and we want to do. This is how we want to play. And we can play with the best just with the hard work and practice that we put into it.” “We don’t want to do that, either, because that just creates a lot of burnout for us. And then coming into events like the provincials and the Scotties, we don’t want to feel that burnout. We want to feel energized and excited and ready to go. And that’s how we feel every year coming to the Scotties, like we’re excited to be here. And we feel grateful to represent Northern Ontario and to play at this amazing event every single year.
