A rideshare driver who witnessed an assault and then helped Denver police identify a suspect in the case was recognized Tuesday with a Daniels Fund award.
On Sept. 28, 2019, Ariel Bogue had just dropped off a passenger in the 3000 block of Brighton Boulevard when he witnessed the passenger being assaulted, according to a police news release. The assault victim fell to the ground, striking his head on the pavement and losing consciousness.
Police said Bogue’s actions potentially saved the life of the assault victim. At a ceremony Tuesday, Bogue was humble about the help he provided.
