The Richardson mayor’s summer internship program is now accepting applications from Richardson high schoolers for the 2022 session.

The Richardson mayor’s summer internship program is now accepting applications for the 2022 session.Paid and unpaid internships are offered at businesses, nonprofits and government agencies. Interns complete between 10 and 40 hours of work every week during the program.

The program, now in its fifth year, is a collaboration between the city, Mayor Paul Voelker, Richardson ISD and the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. The student application deadline is March 17. Applications from businesses will be accepted through April 1. Students must be available to complete work training in late March and participate in a job fair April 26. Those chosen for internships after the job fair interviews must be available for additional training June 1-2.
