The Beanie Bubble could not be more generic; it’s timeless and placeless, in the bad way. | ✍️ johnwilmeswords
Zach Galifianakis, in particular, heaves his considerable charms into a game plan that doesn’t deserve them; Geraldine Viswanathan, whose slow glow-up is hopefully on the brink of explosion, also gives the movie more than it deserves.
But what more can you expect from a movie produced from the uncaring largesse of the world’s largest company—Apple—and directed by a beltway nepo baby, Kristin Gore, whose father was once the vice president. The result is not entirely joyless, but if you’re not playing a handheld video game or folding laundry during it, you’ll be giving it more attention than it can reward.
