The final land development plan for the proposed shopping center on the Carlisle Pike went to the Hampden Township Planning Commission for the first time.
The 15-acre property sits at the junction of Route 581 and across the Carlisle Pike from the Gateway Square shopping center.nearly four years ago. The property was previously home to Park Inn by Radisson Harrisburg West, Wanda’s Deck and Beach Club, the West Shore Hardware Bar, Blarney’s and Legends. The venues hosted numerous concerts, other events and weddings.Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said the hotel didn’t have enough rooms to qualify for a license.
