Republicans criticized Joe Biden for saying that 10-15% of Americans are 'not very good people'
Republicans latched onto Joe Biden’s comments during a virtual town hall on Thursday in which he said that while the “vast majority” of Americans want to be better as a country, 10-15% of the country are “just not very good people”, comments that some conservatives likened to Hillary Clinton’s “deplorable” comments in 2016....
The reaction to the comments echoed the controversy created in September 2016, when at a fundraiser in New York City, Clinton said"half" of Trump supporters fit into a"basket of deplorables," though Biden was speaking more broadly about Americans in general on Thursday, and didn’t mention Trump specifically.
