The Justice Department and a group of state attorneys general will likely file antitrust lawsuits against Google, theFriday, escalating the threat of regulation, fines or possibly breaking up the company after criticism from lawmakers of both parties.
The DOJ is also reportedly probing Google’s ad business, but will more generally look at whether Google is prioritizing its own products in its search engine to stifle competition.
