The new Renault hybrid SUV will use Volvo's CMA platform that underpins the XC40, among other models
Renault Korea Motors will bring the vehicle to life, building it in Korea for sale in the local and overseas markets. It will be unique from all other Renault models as it will be based on Volvo’s Compact Modular Architecture platform that underpins vehicles such as the Volvo XC40 and Lynk & Co 01.
While limited details about the SUV have been announced, we know that it will feature an efficient hybrid powertrain and compete in the D-segment of the market.“This vehicle also demonstrates RKM’s ability to capitalize on the new and very promising hybrid platform,” the carmaker described in a press release. “It will take its occupants into a future where technology and innovation will connect mobility and digital life and offer caring services to our customers.
A teaser of the vehicle shows that it will take the form of a sleek coupe SUV. Among the key details visible include thin headlights, pronounced creases on the hood and front quarter panels, a sleek roofline, a high tailgate, and a subtle roof-mounted spoiler.
