Ottawa Redblacks quarterback Dustin Crum runs the ball against Hamilton Tiger-Cats' Jonathan Kongbo Friday night. Matt Zambonin/THE CANADIAN PRESSRather than jump all over their weary opponents, the well-rested Redblacks let the Hamilton Ticats off the hook early Friday at TD Place.

With the loss, Ottawa fell four points behind the Ticats, who won the first two meetings between the teams this season. The Redblacks did score a couple of third quarter touchdowns and headed into the fourth with a 17-13 lead.On their second offensive play from scrimmage, Redblacks quarterback Dustin Crum threw an ill-advised pass directly into the hands of Ticats safety Stavros Katsantonis at the Ottawa 50.On their second last series in the opening quarter, the Redblacks impressively. moved the ball to the Ticats one-yard line.
